Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! And, A Happier New YOU!

In 2016, many of us were thrown off by life and distractions that served their purposes well. As a matter of fact, many of us virtually forgot our purpose for 2016. By forgetting our purpose, many of us stopped doing the things we knew we were created to do in this season of our lives!

Instead of focusing on things that would propel us forward at an amazing speed, we sat on our gifts and talents. We spent too much time wallowing in the Pool of Pity. We looked at others around us. Instead of doing what we knew to do, we wondered why they were progressing and we were not.

Guess what? Life happens.

Family will get in the way. Distractions will occur. We will begin doubting those things we know are inside of us.

Instead of believing in ourselves, we listen to the voices in the wind that tell us to either do the exact opposite of what we are supposed to do or just start doing something else completely. We forget the burning desire in our hearts to be all we were called to be on the Battlefield of Life.

We become discouraged, disappointed, disenchanted, and sundry other disses in life.

We make ourselves believe the gifts and talents we once experienced are gone or have been replaced with something we can’t even put a name to. We tell ourselves it was a fluke. (Sound familiar? I lived it!)

Romans 11:29 The gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

God is not an Indian-giver.

Please don’t be offended by my using that word. (You’re probably asking which one in this day and age! Jiminy!) It’s a term I used in childhood. This word definitely fits our concept of God for the most part. We think God gives us stuff only to take those things back. He is not like that. I am proof positive. The Drill Sergeant of Life was off the scene for a minute. We had to regroup and refocus, get back to our original purpose.

Do you need to regroup and refocus so you can get back on track?

The Drill Sergeant of Life is back with a new passion and a new fire burning in my heart…for YOU.

The gifts and calling of God placed inside of you before the foundation of the world are still there. They never left! God has not taken them back!

Everything He created you with, every gift, every talent, every inclination…they’re still there. The only thing you have to do is stand up and put into action everything He has given you for this season of your life.

But you must Rise Up and embrace all God has for you. Connect with the gifts He has placed inside of you as we celebrate the Ultimate Gift – Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

So, just wanted to re-introduce The Drill Sergeant of Life and reconnect. I am here for you and will be here for you when you need me. Plus, I wanted to share my new theme song for 2017.

May God bless you abundantly, massively, and richly, all the days of your life in ALL you do.

Beatrice Bruno, The Drill Sergeant of Life

Stumbled upon your site,am glad I did. Everyone at some point in their lives needs a swift kick in the behind to remind them of their God given mission! Best years of my life were serving in the Oregon Army and Air National Guard, and Army Reserves 1980-1992. Have a great, safe New Year!

Praise the Lord and thank you for your comment. Sometimes, we allow so much to come in between us and what God has created us to do. As you and I both learned while serving, it is a discipline. May God abundantly bless you in the New Year! God is faithful to perform!
